On Sunday we had a day free and the weather was decent (cloudy at first, but the sun came out eventually), so we decided to take Tucker to the lake. (There is a lake about 30 minutes north of us called Canyon Lake.) So, we loaded up the car and Tucker, and drove till we found the park. BUT, to our dismay, the park was CLOSED. It has been in the 80s-90s and the lake park is closed!
Hmmm?!
We continuted to drive around (poor Tuck got car sick) until we found a public boat dock. Then we were able to walk down the ramp and walk along the shore a ways. It wasnt beautiful sandy beaches, but there were no other people around and it was at the lake!
Tucker didn't hesitate one bit. He walked right into the water. Once we let him off the leash he just ran right in and started swimming around. Just swimming (the song 'just keep swimming' from Finding Nemo was in my head for most of the day).
We brought a ball with and a bumper, and Tucker loved swimming out after them. He swam until he couldn't anymore...and then we had a very tired and wet puppy on our hands :)
Can you tell that Tucker has us wrapped around his 'paw'? We spoil him rotten, but he is a good pup :)
