MN Activities

Kyle, Adam, Brayden, Tyler, my dad, and uncle all went Pheasant hunting over Christmas vacation again this year. It was bone-chilling cold, and I thought they were crazy to go out, but that didn't stop them. With a 9am hunt, they were able to get good time in around the fields, hunt and clean birds, and make it home for a nice nap before supper. We enjoyed a home-cooked fresh pheasant supper! It was delicious.

Good exercise...for the dogs AND the men! If you need a place for a hunt, they ALL recommended this place!

The girls kept busy while the men were out hunting. Our toes needed some serious winter-attention.

Both fun activities while home with family! Maybe a yearly tradition... ;)

Planes, Train, and Automobiles

This post is mostly focused on airplanes, but I just liked that for a title ;) These past few months Kyle and I have been flying every other weekend it seems. Kyle has been flying non-stop for work and throw in a few MN trips and we are becoming regulars at the airport. We are even getting to the point of recognizing security guards and TSA people. (Is that good or bad!?)

On this last trip home I decided to snap a few pictures from my point of view. The seat I see every time. The view I get (every time!) and stuff like that. All I have to say is I am very thankful for earphones, airport bars, and sky miles. Kyle and I have now accumulated enough miles for a free flight. The only problem now is deciding where and when to use it! ;)

Kyle and I sit over the wing every. single. time.
Delta airplane seats...Try not to be too jealous ;)

Our flight back to TX from MN. Can you tell we were a bit tired?!
 Safe travels everyone :)

Graduation

I think I still don't fully believe that I was in MN this past weekend. Time goes SO FAST when we are home, especially for a major event. Ashley, my little sister, graduated High School on Sunday. I had mixed emotions, but I think overall I was genuinly excited for her. I feel like she is ready for the next step in her life, and I just hope she keeps me in the loop so I can help in any way. Thankfully technology can help that, but it would be nice just to be only a few hours away instead of days.

Here is one lonely picture that I have for you. I have been exhausted since returning late Monday night, so I don't have many pictures ready to go. I don't even have my bag unpacked, which is very unheard of for us. So, until I can get some family pictures ready to go, I will leave you with this one.

Happy Graduation, Ashley! Can't wait to see what the next few years will bring  :)

Weekend at Home: Part 1

I have been quiet for a few days, but this last weekend Kyle and I made the journey home. It is the first time we had been home since Christmas! (I have no idea where the year has gone). One of the main reasons why we went home was for my little sister, Ashley. She is a senior in High School and a stud at volleyball, and we have never really seen her play.

She had a tournament on Saturday in Willmar, so we drove in bright and early to watch her play. Turns out, her team is pretty good, but they need that extra little shove when the game gets close. If there is a record for the amount of games lost within 2-3 points every match, BLH Mustangs would win. Every game, every match, they would be within 2-3 points of winning. It was frustrating to watch that, but amazing to watch my little sister dominate on the court. (I like to say that I helped train her ;) It was fun to watch Kyle get so worked up...I thought he might get a hernia at one point!

The coach that coached my older sister and me is still coaching, so that was fun to see as well. We had a chance to catch up  and chat, and of course, take a picture. Same old Ms. A :)

I can't wait to see where Ashley will go, who she will end up playing volleyball for in college. She has over 1,000 set assists, is consistently in the top 2 for kills, blocks, and ace serves. That all makes one proud older sister :) Way to go, #6!

The family watching Ashley play! Kyle, Mom, Roshelle, Ashley, me, Trevor

The sisters!                                                                 Ms. A...she coached all 3 of us at BLH!

Wish I could be home today to be at coronation. Ashley is on court, I can't wait to hear the results!
